Gary Loyd, P.E. has a diverse range of experience in the engineering field. Gary began their career in 2008 at the Alabama Department of Transportation, where they held various roles such as Assistant Utilities Engineer, Hot Mix Asphalt-CEG, and Aggregate-CEG. In these roles, they reviewed and approved bid specifications, wrote technical specifications, reviewed design viability, and provided technical guidance to asphalt producers and aggregate suppliers. In 2014, Gary joined the Bibb County Engineering Department as an Assistant County Engineer, where they assessed road conditions, assisted with subdivision regulations, floodplain management, and designed roadway plans. Since 2018, they have been working as a Civil Engineer and project manager at Huntsville Utilities. In this role, they develop scope of work documents, reviews engineering proposals, oversees design and construction activities, and serves as the primary point of contact for gas and water projects from concept to completion.
Gary Loyd, P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Gary attended the university from 2004 to 2008.
