Dr. Simone Lechthaler

Dr. Simone Lechthaler currently serves as Project Manager for Urban Drainage at Hunziker Betatech AG since July 2023. Prior to this role, Dr. Lechthaler was the Research Group Lead for Particulate Contaminants at the Institute of Environmental Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, where responsibilities included research and strategic project coordination focused on particulate contaminants in wastewater treatment and urban drainage from November 2021 to July 2023. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Associate at NLWKN and the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resource Management at RWTH Aachen University, where Dr. Lechthaler worked on water management systems and the study of microplastics, respectively. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Natural Sciences from RWTH Aachen University obtained in February 2021 and a Master of Science in Applied Geography from the same institution, earned in March 2018.
