Carlo Barth has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and scientific research. Carlo is currently the Head of Data Science at Huq Industries, where they lead a team of data scientists in building advanced models and extracting insights from geospatial data sets. Previously, Carlo served as the Data Science Lead at Bluegrove, where they designed software architecture and implemented core scientific libraries for autonomous feeding and fish welfare tracking. Carlo also worked at CageEye, a Bluegrove Company, where they held the position of Science Product Lead and developed machine learning applications for fish feeding. Prior to that, Carlo worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, where they applied machine learning techniques to photonics, and as a Researcher PHD Student, where they worked on simulations and built a Python interface for a FEM solver.
Carlo Barth completed their education in physics, starting with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physik from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, which they received in 2011. Carlo then pursued their Master of Science degree in Physik at the same university, completing it in 2014. Following this, Carlo enrolled at Technische Universität Berlin and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics in 2017.
In addition to their formal education, Carlo Barth obtained additional certifications. In June 2020, they completed an online course titled "Introduction to Self-Driving Cars" from Coursera. Later, in October 2020, Carlo obtained a certification in "Sequence Models" from the same platform.
