Megan Katzenstein has a diverse range of work experience in the education sector. In 2012, they served as a Teacher Assistant at Wyoming Junior High, where they assisted in teaching Jazz band, Music appreciation, and Honors band for 8th and 9th graders. Megan also conducted pieces on all concerts and ran rehearsals. In 2013, they were a Student Teacher at Georgetown Elementary School, teaching 1st-5th grade general music and taking over all classrooms for about 8 weeks. Megan taught tempo, recorders, rhythms, and orchestra instruments. Later in 2013, they joined Farmington Public Schools as a K-4 music teacher and also served as a Beginning band teacher from 2014 to 2015. In 2014, they became a Technical Director at Royal Oak Children's Choir, and in 2015, they joined Huron Valley Schools as the Muir Middle School Choral Director.
Megan Katzenstein obtained a Bachelor of Music Education degree in Music from Grand Valley State University, which they pursued from 2009 to 2013. Megan later pursued a Master's Degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Michigan State University, completing their studies from 2015 to 2017.
