Sverre Stornes has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Sverre began their career as the owner of Rammeverkstedet Atelier Ogna, where they were responsible for the production of picture frames and sales and marketing of visual art.

Sverre then worked at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) as a System Administrator, Project Manager, and Senior Engineer. During their tenure, they oversaw project management, technical assessments, and strategic planning for the university while also serving as the ITIL Change Manager.

Stornes later joined DNV GL as a Management Consultant and Senior Management Consultant, where they created and executed project work plans and provided accurate reporting and resource allocation.

At Tellmann Executive Advisors AS, they served as a Senior Advisor, establishing standardized processes and optimizing IT service and infrastructure. Stornes also acted as a coach for senior leaders and executives, providing support and coaching to frontline managers.

Stornes then moved to Capra Consulting AS, where they held various roles such as Management Consultant, Hiring Manager, VP New Business Development, and Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for project management, resource allocation, hiring, and the overall success of multiple projects.

Most recently, Stornes has been working at Hurtigruten as the Vice President of Software Engineering and previously as the VP Digital. In these roles, they have been instrumental in leading digital initiatives and developing software engineering strategies for the company.

Throughout their career, Stornes has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, and a talent for understanding business needs and priorities.

Sverre Stornes has a diverse education history. In 2002, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science and a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Computer Software Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Sverre further pursued their education at NTNU and completed a Master's degree in Computer Science in 2002.

In 2003, Sverre Stornes enrolled in the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) again and completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Technology Management. Following this, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management as a Sloan Visiting Fellow in 2004.

Aside from their formal education, Sverre Stornes has also obtained various certifications. Some of these certifications include Flight Level 2 Design, Flight Level Systems Architecture, Introduction to Flight Levels, Prof G Certified Strategist, Strategyzer Masterclass, Mastering Business Models, Mastering Value Propositions, and Certificate of Mastery in Logical Thinking Process.
