Christian Morgan

Christian Morgan is the Principal at Husch Blackwell Strategies. Christian has over 15 years of experience in directing campaign operations and staff for local, Congressional, and statewide campaigns.

Christian Morgan began their political career in 2003 on a Congressional campaign in the 3rd District of Kansas. After the 2004 election, Christian was named as an Assistant Attorney General of Kansas and served on the Kansas Attorney General’s political and official legal staff. After serving as Assistant Attorney General, they were selected to manage Jim Barnett’s 2006 campaign for Kansas Governor against Kathleen Sebelius. Morgan guided Barnett’s campaign to a tough double digit victory in the crowded 7 candidate GOP Primary field.

After the 2006 election Christian was selected as Executive Director for the Kansas Republican Party where they played a key role in helping Lynn Jenkins defeat the incumbent Democrat Representative, Nancy Boyda, in the 2nd Congressional District race. That upset was one of only a handful of Republican Congressional victories across the country in 2008.

In August 2009, Christian joined Axiom Strategies as an Associate. Christian held this position until December 2012 when they became the Vice President. In their current role as Vice President, Christian is responsible for making decisions concerning spending, message, personnel, and policy for multiple campaigns from California to Florida.

Christian holds two B.A.’s from the University of Kansas in Psychology and Sociology and received their J.D. from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in May, 2004. Christian is a Kansas City native where they still reside with their 4-year old son, Jack.

Christian Morgan attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where they earned their Juris Doctorate in Law. They also attended the University of Kansas, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

They are on a team with Lynn Jacquez - Principal/Senior Policy Advisor, Russell Orban - Principal, and Keri Ann Hayes - Director, PAC and Campaign Resource Services. Christian Morgan reports to Gregg Hartley, CEO/Executive Vice Chairman.
