Bala Venkatrao is an experienced leader in technology and business, currently serving as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Economy at Atlassian since 2020, where the focus is on the company’s ecosystem and marketplace. In addition to this role, Bala is an Angel Squad Member at Hustle Fund and an advisor to Sparkflows, which enhances big data analytics through its innovative platform. As the founder and advisor of Advising For Good, Bala promotes positive change in the community. Previous experience includes being a founding team member and Chief Product Officer at Unravel, where modern data application performance is optimized, and serving as a director at companies such as Elastic and Cloudera, contributing to significant advancements in product management and business strategy. Bala holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, as well as an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Electronics from the University at Buffalo and the University of Mumbai, respectively.
