Melva Williams

President & CEO at Huston-Tillotson University

Melva Williams is the current President & CEO at Huston-Tillotson University. Prior to their current position, Williams served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at Southern University at Shreveport from 2003-2009 and again from 2010-2011. Melva also held the position of Associate Dean of the College at Centenary College of Louisiana from 2011-2013. In addition, Williams has served in various leadership roles at the Higher Education Leadership Foundation, the Robinson Film Center, and the Shreveport Charter Foundation.

Melva Williams earned a BA in Mass Communication and an MPA in Public Administration from Grambling State University. Melva also completed a PhD in Higher Education at Jackson State University.
