Hutchinson Modern & Contemporary

I founded Hutchinson Modern & Contemporary in 2020, dedicated to modern and contemporary art of the Americas with a focus on Latin American, U.S. Latinx(o/a/e) and Caribbean art. I began my journey in 1986 in the Latin American Art department at Sotheby's. After twenty years as a private dealer and earning a masters in Curatorial Studies and Design at The Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, I decided to open an office to exhibit art in a non-white cube setting. The vibrant community that I created over the years, including collectors, art professionals, connoisseurs and art lovers encouraged me to open an exhibition space in which I can present the art that I champion. Growing up in San Francisco in the 70s and understanding that there were many cultures beyond my own, I decided to work with issues of dislocation, diasporas, and migration in my current program. Hutchinson Modern & Contemporary is located at 47 East 64th Street in the Upper East Side. 11am-5pm, Tuesday-Saturday Other Hours by Appointment
