Bill Schelman

Senior Vice President, Clinical Development, Us/europe at Chi-Med

Bill Schelman has a diverse work experience in the field of oncology and clinical development. Bill started their career as an Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 2000. Bill then progressed to roles at the UW Carbone Cancer Center, where they held positions such as Fellow, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor. In 2014, they joined Eli Lilly and Company, working their way up to Senior Medical Director in various oncology-related roles. Currently, they serve as a Senior Vice President at HUTCHMED, overseeing Clinical Development in the US and Europe.

Bill Schelman completed their Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1992. Bill went on to pursue a Doctor of Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the same university, graduating in 2000.
