Erik Van Den Boezem has extensive experience in financial management, currently serving as a Business Controller at ECT since 2003. Prior to this role, Erik worked as a Project Controller at Siemens from 2000 to 2003 and gained early finance experience at EDS from 1994 to 1996. Erik holds a degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam, where studies were completed from 1987 to 1993, and a foundational education from RSG Tiel and Lingecollege between 1981 and 1987.

Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam is one of the leading and most advanced container terminal operator in Europe. The company handles a majority of the containers at the port of Rotterdam. ECT operates two terminals to this extent: the Hutchison Ports ECT Delta and the Hutchison Ports ECT Euromax at the Maasvlakte (directly on the North Sea). European Gateway Services is a part of ECT Rotterdam, and offers its clients an extended network of inland terminals and extended gates that are connected to the deepsea terminals in Rotterdam through high-frequency rail and inland shipping services. Extra services are added to these efficient connections, especially in the area of customs clearance.
