Jason Joe Angco-Barrera

Jason Joe Angco-Barrera is an experienced theater educator and director with a strong background in teaching and production. Currently serving as the Theater Director for Taylor Independent School District and a Drama Teacher at Hutto ISD, Angco-Barrera also holds the position of Theatre Adjunct Professor at Georgia Gwinnett College. Previous roles include Theatre Teacher and UIL OAP Director at Martin High School, where lesson planning and student engagement were prioritized, as well as positions at Laredo Community College as a Stage Manager and Drama Instructor. Angco-Barrera's teaching philosophy emphasizes creating a fun and safe learning environment while developing essential theatrical skills in students. With advanced degrees in Film and Theatre Arts, Angco-Barrera has effectively contributed to various educational institutions since 2008.
