At HVAF (Helping Veterans And Families) we provide transitional housing and permanent housing to homeless veterans as well as case management, food and clothing, and other essential needs. HVAF’s mission is to eliminate homelessness among veterans and families through education, prevention, supportive services and advocacy. Through partnership with the United Way of Central Indiana, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and community organizations, we are working to end homelessness, one veteran at a time.

The Community and Housing Services team at HVAF plays a critical role in supporting veterans and families by coordinating outreach, securing permanent and transitional housing, preventing homelessness, and engaging with the community. Team members work together to manage housing programs, provide essential services at community centers, and collaborate with local organizations to offer continuous support and advocacy for veterans in need.
