Stephen Pinkerton

Stephen Pinkerton's work experience spans several companies and roles. Stephen currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at hVIVO, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Commercial Finance Director at hVIVO, starting in July 2017.

Before joining hVIVO, Pinkerton worked at Thomson Reuters, where they held various roles within the Risk Division. Stephen was the Finance Director for Enterprise Risk Management from August 2014 to May 2016. In this role, they achieved double-digit sales and revenue growth and conducted due diligence and presentations for an acquisition. Stephen also held the position of Finance Director for Financial Planning & Analysis in the Risk Division from April 2012 to July 2014, where they integrated FPA into the wider Thomson Financial reporting systems. Pinkerton also served as the Head of FPA & Decision Support from April 2007 to March 2012 and as a Financial Controller from April 2005 to March 2007.

Additionally, Pinkerton has held finance director positions at HB Source Limited from May 2004 to March 2005 and at Moyses Stevens Limited from January 2003 to December 2003. Stephen also worked as a Financial Consultant at GE Capital from March 2002 to December 2002 and as the Group Financial Controller at Euromoney Institutional Investor from April 1997 to December 2001.

Pinkerton's varied experience in finance and leadership roles demonstrates their expertise in driving financial growth, managing change, conducting due diligence, and integrating financial planning and analysis systems.

Stephen Pinkerton earned a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Accounting and Finance from the University of Cape Town, where they attended from 1984 to 1987.
