Christopher Dungey

Chris Dungey currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at High Value Manufacturing Catapult, a position held since October 2022. Prior to this, Chris was Chief Technology Officer at the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland from February 2020 to October 2022. Chris also founded and directed the Joining 4.0 Innovation Centre at Lancaster University from April 2017 to January 2020. Earlier roles included Group Manager Business Development at TWI and Technology Manager for High Integrity Fabrication at the Manufacturing Technology Centre. Chris's career began at Rolls-Royce and GKN, focusing on manufacturing and metallurgical engineering. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, an MBA from The Open University, and a Master’s Degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
