Gregory Powell

Gregory Powell began their career in 2006 as an Electronic Technician in the U.S. Coast Guard, followed by roles as a Maritime Enforcement Specialist and NCO - PO2. In 2015, they became a student at Palomar College. In 2017, they joined Proficio as a SIEM Engineer and Cybersecurity Analyst. In 2018, they moved to SAIC as a Cyber Security Tools Analyst. In 2021, they returned to Proficio as a Sr. Strategic Security Advisor. Most recently, in 2023, they joined HYAS as a Client Technical Solutions Engineer. In this role, they bridge the gap between Client Success and technical competency, functioning as a subject matter expert and champion of all HYAS solutions.

Gregory Powell has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University (2018-2020), an Associate's degree in Computer Systems Cisco Networking and Telecommunications from Palomar College (2015-2018) and General Studies from College of the Canyons (2003-2005). Gregory has also obtained certifications from various institutions, including the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (Motorcycle Safety Course, 2011), Federal Aviation Administration (Private Pilots License, 2003), Health & Safety Institute (HSI) (CPR PRO, 2015), U.S. Coast Guard (Advanced Shipboard Firefighting, Boarding Team Member, Combat Trauma Medicine Course, Tactical Operators Course, Water Survival Training Program), and Splunk (Splunk User Certification).
