Paul Van Gool

After finishing a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Paul spent several years in the defense industry working on large-scale distributed simulation systems. After that he transitioned into developing scalable systems for consumer email and mobile messaging. He has significant experience in software architecture, distributed systems, and scalable storage/database solutions, and leads the engineering team at HYAS to develop, release, and support products that make HYAS' customer successful. Paul lives in Santa Barbara, California with his wife, 2 children, and 2 dogs. He loves to play chess, and write code to control and fly his multicopter drone.
