Paul Hammond has a wealth of experience in the engineering and aerodynamics industry. Paul began their career in 2008 at Aircraft Research Association Ltd., where they held the position of Head of Operations (Experimental Aerodynamics Dept). In this role, they managed a team of 35 members of staff, preparing models and rigs for wind tunnel testing, and processing and reporting test results to a world wide customer base. Paul then moved on to become Head of Programmes, managing a team of Project Managers and Project Supervisors across two business units. In 2011, Paul took on the role of Head of Design and Manufacture Dept, where they were responsible for managing a team of 30 employees in the design and manufacture of high precision wind tunnel models and associated test hardware. In 2015, Paul moved to Hybrid Air Vehicles Ltd., where they currently serve as Engineering Department Manager.

Paul Hammond's education history includes five institutions. Paul attended Bedford Modern School in Bedfordshire from 1975 to 1978. Paul then attended Bedford College of Higher Education (now University of Bedfordshire) from 1980 to 1983, where they earned an Ordinary National Certificate (O.N.C.) in Mechanical and Production Engineering and a Higher National Diploma (H.N.D.) in the same field. In 1991, they earned a Higher National Certificate (H.N.C.) in Computer Studies from Bedford College of Higher Education. Finally, Paul Hammond attended Huntingdon Regional College from 2010 to 2011, where they earned a Chartered Management Institute Level 7 in Strategic Management and Leadership.
