Richard Wert began their career in 2001 as the Director of Health, PE & Athletics at Hyde Park Schools. In 2003, they joined the Hyde Park Central School District as the Principal of Netherwood Elementary. During their time there, they were responsible for managing a K-5 school with approximately 400 students and 65 staff members. In April 2016, Wert transitioned to the role of Director of Technology for the Hyde Park Central School District.
Richard Wert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language Arts/Experimental Psychology from Alfred University in 1990. Richard went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Reading Education from the same university, which they completed in 1993. Later, from 1999 to 2001, Richard attended Rhode Island College and obtained a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration with a focus on Educational Leadership.
