Emerson Hunton

Emerson Hunton is an accomplished music program manager, digitization technician, and modern dance accompanist with extensive experience in the arts sector. Currently serving as Music Program Manager at Comfort Station Logan Square since July 2017, Emerson curates performances and collaborates with various organizations to host events. As a Digitization Technician at The Newberry since February 2017, high-quality photography of the institution's collections is provided, ensuring compliance with Library of Congress standards. Additionally, Emerson has been a modern dance accompanist at Hyde Park School of Dance since September 2016, and maintains a freelance career as a drummer and composer, adept at providing live accompaniment for diverse dance forms. Previous experience includes working as an Archival Assistant at Oberlin Conservatory Library Special Collections and as a freelance musician and educator. Emerson holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from Oberlin College, graduated in 2016.
