Hyde Park School of Dance
Tanniqua-Kay Buchanan, MUPP, currently serves as the Community Projects Program Administrator for the City and County of Denver, beginning in January 2024. Since September 2016, Tanniqua-Kay has held the position of Administrative Assistant at Hyde Park School of Dance, overseeing the Receptionist area and coordinating inventory orders. Previous experience includes roles as Neighborhood Projects Coordinator at the Denver Streets Partnership, Teaching Artist for the Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education, and various teaching artist positions at organizations like the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Tanniqua-Kay has also contributed to community development projects, notably with the Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation. Tanniqua-Kay holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Theater with a Dance emphasis from Kansas State University. Currently pursuing intensive study in Conservation Planning at Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Toulouse, Tanniqua-Kay integrates arts education with community engagement and developmental programming.
