Hydefy is a responsible materials company dedicated to harnessing the wisdom of nature and the power of science to transform material culture for the better. We’re creating a world of innovative, high-performance materials for a wide array of industries, applications, and products, from accessories and footwear to furniture and vehicle interiors, while reducing the impact on the planet.

Our materials, composed of Fy™ and sugarcane husk derivatives, exemplify Hydefy’s dedication to both performance and sustainability. Fueled by our purpose and values, we’re constantly exploring what’s next—and what could be—by harnessing Fy, a fungi protein that represents an extraordinary discovery. In fact, we’ve already leveraged Fy at Nature’s Fynd by making delicious vegan foods that are now available in over 1,000 stores.

Hydefy’s proprietary technology, born out of NASA-backed research in Yellowstone National Park, enables the development of new-to-the-world biomaterials with exceptional versatility and performance characteristics that enable infinite possibilities for materials applications. Through the use of this fermentation technology and scalable downstream processes, Hydefy crafts animal-free, planet-friendly materials and significantly reduces resource consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and pollution compared to traditional methods.
