Eric Epstein, PhD, is currently the Director of Sustainable Materials Innovation and has extensive experience in materials science and engineering. They have worked as a Senior Research Engineer and Research Chemist at PPG Industries, where they led significant R&D projects and developed innovative polymer chemistries. Previously, Eric served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, conducting research on dynamic polymers and shape-switching microparticles. They also interned at the Naval Research Laboratory, synthesizing silicon nanowires. Additionally, Eric has consulted for companies such as Vissers Battery Corporation and TearDx.
