Chor Chow Siang

Chor Chow Siang has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Starting from 1996, Siang worked as an R&D Staff Engineer at Panasonic Electromechanical Components Sdn Bhd, where they led new product development and managed engineering operations. In 2008, Siang joined Hong Leong Asia as an Assistant General Manager-SCM, responsible for managing the supply chain and coordinating direct material purchasing, inventory, production planning, and logistics.

Siang then transitioned to Phoenix Mecano in 2012, working as a Project/Sourcing Manager. In this role, they were involved in local supplier sourcing and development and managed a project for German technology transfer and new factory setup. Siang later joined Emerson Process Management in 2013 as a Senior Project Pursuit Manager, leading solution proposals for strategic account customers and coordinating cross-functional teams.

In 2017, Siang became the Corporate Development Manager at Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad. Here, they monitored and tracked the performance of newly acquired business units and collaborated with business and corporate function units to review and analyze business performance and operation efficiency. From 2020 to 2022, Siang worked at SQC as a Managing Consultant, providing ISO management consultation and audit services, as well as business strategy and operation efficiency consultancy.

Currently, Siang is working at Hydrexia as a Business Development Manager, starting in September 2022. The summary showcases Siang's experience in roles ranging from engineering and project management to corporate development and consultancy.

Chor Chow Siang's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Iowa State University, which was completed in an unknown year. This was followed by a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Engineering Management from the University of Warwick, which was completed in 2007. In 2008, Siang enrolled in an executive program in the management of technology at the National University of Singapore. Siang then pursued a Chartered Global Management Accountant designation, obtaining the ACMA CGMA from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2015.

In terms of additional certifications, Siang obtained the Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designations from CIMA in December 2016. Siang also holds certifications in ISO 9001 Lead Auditor - Quality Certification, obtained from IRCA | International Register of Certificated Auditors in October 2021, and as a Certified Data Science Specialist, obtained from iTrain Asia Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) in June 2021. In addition, Siang received the WSET Level II award in wine and spirit from WSET | Wine & Spirit Education Trust in July 2020.
