Nick Darabi

Head of Hydrogen Refueling Stations (HRS) at Hydrexia

Nick Darabi has over 18 years of work experience in the energy industry. In 2004, they began their career as a Mechanical Engineer and Senior Project Engineer at the National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company. In 2014, they moved to Origin Energy as a Commissioning Engineer in the Mechanical Integrity Team. In 2016, they returned to the National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company as a Senior Asset Integrity Engineer. In 2019, they joined Sun Metals Corporation Pty Ltd as a Mechanical Superintendent for Maintenance, Integrity and Reliability. In 2021, they moved to Ark Energy Corporation as the Technical Lead for SunHQ Green Hydrogen. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed as the Head of Hydrogen Refueling Stations (HRS) at Hydrexia.

Nick Darabi holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds, obtained between 2009 and 2010. Nick also holds a Bachelor's degree in Safety & Technical Inspection Engineering from the Petroleum University of Technology, obtained between 2000 and 2004. Additionally, Darabi has obtained three certifications: a PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) from the Project Management Institute in 2021, a RPEQ - Mechanical Engineering from the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland in 2018, and a CPEng - Chartered Professional Engineer from Engineers Australia in 2015.
