Gina Loewen

Gina Loewen is an experienced education professional with a diverse background in teaching and program facilitation. Currently serving as an Education Officer at Hydro Tasmania since February 2020, Gina focuses on outreach programs that introduce renewable energy and STEM concepts to Tasmanian children. Previous roles include Facilitator at the University of Alberta's USchool, where connection with socially vulnerable and Indigenous students was prioritized, and as an entrepreneur with SkiLife, promoting cross-country skiing in Edmonton. Gina also has extensive experience in various teaching positions within Edmonton Public Schools and coordinated educational programs at the University of Alberta Museums and Collections Services. Gina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the same institution.
