Ian Jones

Ian Jones is an experienced professional in environmental planning and policy, currently serving as Principal Environmental Planning and Policy at Hydro Tasmania since July 2014. In this role, Ian provides strategic advice on environmental matters, focusing on development approvals and land use planning. Previously, Ian held positions including Manager of Environmental Policy, Land and Heritage, and Environmental Policy and Assessments Advisor at Hydro Tasmania, as well as Senior Planning Consultant at Entura and Specialist Planner for the London Borough of Lambeth. Ian's educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Tasmania and a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New England.
