Nicholas Curtain

Nicholas Curtain is an experienced Mechanical Engineer currently employed at Hydro Tasmania since February 2018, focusing on production and maintenance of the statewide hydro turbine fleet. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and upgrading mechanical assets such as gates, valves, and hydraulic controls. Nicholas began as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Hydro Tasmania, contributing to the upkeep of power-generating assets and supporting design and procurement efforts. Prior experience includes a role as a Mechanical Engineer Vacation Student, working under a portfolio risk manager to refurbish turbines. Additionally, Nicholas has a background in education as a Reliability Engineering Tutor and as a PASS Leader at the University of Tasmania from 2015 to 2016. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honours from the University of Tasmania.
