Adnan Akhtar

Adnan Akhtar, P.Eng. has extensive experience in engineering, particularly in the fields of Protection and Control (P&C) and Distributed Energy Resources (DER) at Hydro One since April 2008. As a Supervising Engineer, responsibilities include engineering design, standards development, and field support for DER planning and P&C automation. Previously, roles included Senior Technical Coordinator, providing technical support and acting as a NERC CIP audit lead, and Senior Design Standards Engineer, focusing on transmission Protection and Control design standards. Adnan's earlier experience includes positions at GE Power, Greater Toronto Airports Authority, and Honeywell Aerospace. Education was obtained from the University of Waterloo, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
