Ahmad Riaz

Ahmad Riaz is an Assistant Network Management Engineer at Hydro One since July 2022, with prior experience as an Associate Planning Engineer at NYISO, where coordination and execution of technical studies related to the New York State transmission system were key responsibilities. Ahmad also completed a Market Operations Internship at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), developing an Outage Management tool to enhance outage data analysis and visualization. Earlier roles included contributing to vehicle braking system research at MAC Formula Electric and assisting in the development of electrical power systems for Cube Sat at McMaster NEUDOSE. Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from McMaster University, earned in 2021.
