Matthew Jackson has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Matthew most recently worked as the Director of Indigenous Partnerships at Hydro One starting in February 2021. Prior to that, they held a managerial position at Enbridge, where they focused on community and indigenous relations in Eastern Canada from November 2018 to February 2021. Matthew also served as a Council Member for the Town of South Bruce Peninsula from December 2014 to December 2018. During their tenure at Union Gas, they held two managerial roles simultaneously, one in stakeholder relations from July 2017 to November 2018, and another in municipal affairs and franchise relations from January 2015 to November 2018. Earlier in their career, Matthew worked at Enbridge Pipelines as a Senior Advisor in Indigenous Engagement from October 2013 to January 2015, and at Enbridge Gas Distribution as a Senior Advisor in Government Relations from an unknown start date to November 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Policy Assistant for the Ontario Ministry of Finance from July 2010 to October 2011. Before transitioning into the corporate world, Matthew gained experience as an Assistant Manager at Moxies Classic Grill from September 2008 to July 2010. Matthew also worked as a Junior Trade Commissioner for the Government of Canada from 2008 to 2009. Matthew began their professional career in a leadership role as the President of the College Student Alliance from May 2005 to May 2007.
Matthew Jackson obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from The University of Lethbridge. Matthew also completed an Executive Management Certificate at Queen's University and a Diploma in Business Administration: Management Studies at Conestoga College. Their field of study includes Executive Management, International Management with a Minor in Corporate Social Responsibility, and Management.
