Greg Tamura has over 26 years of experience in the advertising and media industry. Greg is currently working as a Media Director at Hydrogen Advertising since June 2021. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Media Specialist at various consulting roles, including CMD Agency, Titanium Media Solutions, and Copacino + Fujikado.
From 2010 to 2017, Greg served as an Associate Media Director at DNA Brand Mechanics, where they led the media strategy, execution, and maintenance of integrated marketing plans for clients such as BECU. Greg was responsible for developing integrated plans, managing media processes and systems, supervising a team, overseeing campaign analytics, and providing market research.
Before that, from 2009 to 2010, Greg worked as a Freelance Media Director at Touch Worldwide, where they assisted in a successful pitch for a project for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
From 2007 to 2009, they served as an Associate Media Director at WONGDOODY, where they oversaw planning, buying, and optimization for key clients and provided planning assistance on the Alaska Airlines account.
Greg also has experience working as a Media Supervisor at Foote, Cone & Belding from 2004 to 2007, where they planned media for several accounts and mentored employees. Greg also served as a Freelance Media Planner at WONGDOODY from 2003 to 2004.
Greg began their career as an Advertising Administrator at REI from 1997 to 2002, where they played a key role in developing and executing media strategies. Prior to that, Greg worked as a Media Planner at McCann - Erickson from 1995 to 1997.
Throughout their career, Greg has demonstrated expertise in media strategy, planning, buying, and optimization, as well as managing teams and providing market research. Greg has worked with clients in various industries, including finance, education, healthcare, tech, and tourism. Greg is skilled in using media planning and management tools such as DoubleClick/DBM, Google Analytics, and AtlasDMT. Greg has a track record of exceeding goals and achieving success in both brand and direct response campaigns.
Greg Tamura received their Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Washington from the years 1989 to 1992.
