Michael McGrath has a diverse work experience in the advertising industry. Michael is currently the Chief Creative Officer and Co-Owner at Hydrogen Advertising since January 2023. Prior to that, they were a Partner/Creative Director at the same company since February 2014. Michael also worked as a Freelance Creative Director, Art Director, and Graphic Designer at mcgrathcreative.com, collaborating with clients and agencies such as Starbucks Coffee, Group Health, WongDoody, and FCB Chicago. Michael was the SVP Creative Director at FCB Global, leading initiatives for brands like Aramark and Newell Rubbermaid, and also developed campaigns for SC Johnson, Diners Club, and Nestle brands. Additionally, Michael served as a Creative Director at Starbucks Coffee, where they built and led an in-house advertising group. Michael has held various roles at FCB Global, Bozell, Cf2Gs, Keiler & Co., and Stringer, showcasing their expertise as an Art Director and Senior Art Director.
From 1986 to 1990, Michael McGrath pursued their Bachelor's degree in Design and Photography at Rhode Island College, where they earned a BFA.
