Chris Kirkwood-Watts has had a varied career in the software engineering field since 1998. Chris began their career as a Senior Engineer at Raytheon in 1998 before moving to NEC in 2000, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2008, they joined Kontagent, Inc. as an Engineer and then moved to TUNE in 2012, where they worked as a Staff Software Engineer, Software Development Manager, and Programmer. In 2017, they became a Blockchain Programmer (Contractor) at Pyrofex Corporation and most recently, in 2019, they joined Hydrolix Inc. as a Staff Engineer.

Chris Kirkwood-Watts holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tulane University, which they earned between 1995 and 2000. Chris also holds a J.D. in Law from the University of Michigan Law School, which they earned between 2003 and 2006. Their undergraduate degree is a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Transylvania University, which they earned between 1991 and 1995.
