Chief Financial Officer at Hygge Power

Roy Moorefield has over 30 years of experience in finance and taxation. Roy began their career in 1986 at Ernst & Young LLP, where they served as a Tax/M&A Principal. In 2000, they were recruited to join EY's West Coast Transaction Advisory Services team in the National Office. In 2003, they became the Managing Member of Rocky Mountain Tax Services LLC, providing tax and business advisory services to small and mid-sized businesses. In 2008, they joined DMC Global, f/k/a Dynamic Materials Corp as the Director, Treasury and Corporate Finance, where they negotiated and coordinated complex and minor amendments to bank syndicate agreements, managed cash and debt, and acted as the primary FX trader. In 2017, they became the Managing Member/Finance Lead of Rocky Mountain Treasury & Finance Services, LLC. In 2018, they became the Chief Financial Officer of Hygge Power and also served as a Finance Mentor to a Local Startup company. Roy is currently the Chief Financial Officer of CO-Z.

Roy Moorefield holds an MBA from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, with a finance and accounting emphasis. Roy also holds a BA/BS from Presbyterian College in English/Economics. Additionally, they are a 2022 CFO Bootcamp Participant from Badgr (now part of Instructure) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the States of Colorado and South Carolina.
