Beth Coehlo

VP, People Department at Hygieia Biological Laboratories

Beth’s work at Hygieia is the culmination of a lifetime of caring for people and helping them do and be their very best on the job. Armed with a BA in Human Resources Management, and the experience of administering her own companies, Beth trained her sights on improving her chosen field on an industry level. To this end, she served in an advisory role for the California Chamber of Commerce’s Hiring and Firing Guide and researched and authored the Human Resources Handbook. She has built human resources departments in-house and created and implemented training programs from the ground up for tech, biotech, manufacturing, logistics, educational and environmental entities.

Since joining Hygieia in 2015 and developing its human resources department, Beth has coached staff and managers to help them fulfill their professional goals, and is instrumental in creating a close-knit, collaborative, and harmonious work environment. Outside of work, she was recently a facilitator for NAMI Yolo County Family Support Groups, is a former board member of YoloArts, and has volunteered with Soroptimist International.
