Jay Franklin

Jay Franklin currently serves as the Assistant Head of School at Hyla Middle and High School, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Jay was the Interim Middle School Head at Catlin Gabel School and contributed to Skillsline as the Education Partnerships and Community Building specialist, focusing on partnerships and program implementation. With a long tenure at The Bush School, Jay acted as Middle School Director, overseeing faculty management, enrollment growth, and curriculum development grounded in educational philosophy and brain science. Jay's earlier roles include administrative and teaching positions at The Northwest School, as well as experience in tour management with CS Tours and account management at Amazon. Jay holds a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Seattle University and a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of San Diego.
