William Greer

William Greer currently serves as the Assistant Head of School for Advancement at North Cross School, a position held since June 2022. Previously, Greer acted as the Director of Principal Gifts at Carilion Clinic from November 2021 to June 2022, and as the Senior Director of Development at Washington and Lee University from September 2014 to November 2021, focusing on leadership gift fundraising. Prior roles include Regional Director of Development at Roanoke College and Director of Development & Church Relations, as well as positions at Christopher Newport University, which included Assistant Dean of the Joseph W. Luter School of Business. Earlier experience includes wilderness instruction at Hurricane Island Outward Bound School. Greer holds a BA in Religion from Wofford College, an MS in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and completed an Instructor Development Practicum at North Carolina Outward Bound.
