Andrew Mckerns

Andrew is a Senior Consultant in the Public Sector Governance, Administration and Projects (GAP) team. He has extensive experience of both working with and advising LGPS funds on governance and administration related topics.

Andrew is lead Consultant for the LGPS training support to funds and is also responsible for Hymans’ recently released LGPS Online Learning Academy. Andrew also led the LGPS National Confidence Assessment and National Knowledge Assessment presented the assessment results at national pension conferences.

Andrew has completed many governance reviews for funds on their overall governance structure and fund policies and procedures, with a particular focus on ‘Good Governance’ implementation at LGPS funds. He also specialises in supporting funds with pension tax calculations, collaborating with officers on administration strategies, employer engagement strategies and fund communication.
