Declan Wainwright

Declan specializes in advising DC schemes having spent several years working in fund administration in Luxembourg and for Merrill Lynch in London. He previously worked for AXA, leading the transformation of their £500m group pension scheme before joining Hymans Robertson in 2016. Declan works with a range of DC clients and is a member of the firm’s DC Governance Group. He has specialist knowledge of value assessments having developed the approach. He has been involved in over 50 value assessments in the last three years and has also undertaken Master Trust value benchmarking for clients.

In addition to managing some of the largest DC clients, Declan is part of the provider review team with granular knowledge of the market-leading capabilities of providers and the market. He has led numerous client-provider selection projects for high-value clients. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute, a Chartered Management Accountant, and a Chartered Wealth Manager.
