Ermiyas Annisa

Ermiyas Annisa began their work experience in 2010 as an Embedded Linux Programmer at Electria R&D. Ermiyas worked on a research team that developed an epaper device for digital newspapers, focusing on the "gap giller" device for demuxing online DVB2 transmission and connecting it to the end reader device using a custom Bluetooth protocol. Ermiyas worked in this role until at least 2012.

In 2012, Ermiyas worked as an Embedded Software Developer at Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences for a brief period.

From 2014 to 2015, Ermiyas served as a Research Assistant at Aalto University, collaborating with Docent Yang Zhirong on optimizing and evaluating the PNMF algorithm for clustering datasets using different update rules. Ermiyas utilized CUDA C programming, MPI programming, and MATLAB GPU for multithread processing on CPUs and GPUs.

In 2015, Ermiyas joined Hansen Technologies as a Software Developer/Data Analyst, where they contributed to building a SaaS solution on AWS for rapid application development in data analytics. Ermiyas utilized technologies such as Outsystems (C#, ASP.NET), Python, R, Vertica database, MySQL, and Tableau for core analytics and visualization. The solution was deployed on AWS.

Continuing at Hansen Technologies until 2020, Ermiyas transitioned to the position of Data Analyst for Enoro in 2015. Ermiyas'swork involved a master's thesis project in the analytics team, where they designed algorithms to segment customers based on consumption behavior. The objective of this project was to provide retailers and network companies with insights to better understand the market and customers.

In 2020, Ermiyas became a Software Engineer and Data Engineer at Varian Medical Systems, where they served until 2021. The specific details of their responsibilities in this role were not provided.

Most recently, Ermiyas joined Hyosung America in 2023 as a Software Engineer, though no specific start or end dates were provided.

Ermiyas Annisa attended Arba Minch University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical Engineering. Following that, from 2007 to 2011, they attended Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and earned a BSc degree in Information Technology. Later, from 2013 to 2016, Ermiyas pursued their MSc in Machine Learning and Data Mining at Aalto University.

In addition to their educational background, Ermiyas Annisa obtained several certifications. In 2012, they received a Matlab certificate from MathWorks. In 2017, they obtained a Sysops on AWS certification from Nordcloud. Subsequently, in 2018, Ermiyas became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) through AWS Elemental, an Amazon Web Services Company. Although an incomplete record exists, Ermiyas also holds a Lab view certificate from National Instruments.
