Head of Open Innovation at HYPE Innovation

Oana-Maria Pop's work experience begins in 2010 when they worked as a Student Assistant at Aarhus University. In 2012, they worked as an Associate Editor/Content Manager at InnovationManagement.se, followed by a role as the Head of Marketing for the same company in 2013. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Hasselt University, first as a Researcher, then as a Teaching Assistant, and later pursued a PHD in Applied Business Economics, which they completed in January 2019. During their time at Hasselt University, their focus was on studying innovation ecosystems using an interdisciplinary approach. In 2019, they joined HYPE Innovation as the Head of Open Innovation, where they provide consulting and training, supports marketing activities, and engages in new product development with a focus on collaborative innovation projects for large organizations. Oana-Maria also worked as an External Trainer at GS1 Germany GmbH from 2019 until September 2022.

Oana-Maria Pop began their education in 2006 at Universitatea “Babeș-Bolyai” din Cluj-Napoca, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Banking in 2009. In 2009 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Innovation Management at Aarhus University. In 2010, they participated in an Erasmus Scholarship program at Corvinus University of Budapest. Oana-Maria Pop then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Business Economics from UHasselt from 2014 to 2019.
