Philip Isaacs has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Most recently, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Hyperfine from March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific for over four years, starting as a Software Engineer II / Front End Developer in April 2017 and eventually becoming a Senior Software Engineer / Front End Developer. At Thermo Fisher Scientific, they played a significant role in decoupling and rebuilding the front end for the company's SaaS based system. Philip also introduced Storybook JS as a workspace for development, testing, and documentation of UI components.
Before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Philip worked as a Front End Developer at Core Informatics, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, from July 2016 to March 2017. Prior to that, they served as a Digital Media Manager / Front End Developer at WTNH-TV for four years, where they oversaw the day-to-day operations of the company's website and mobile applications and developed live traffic camera modules.
Philip's work experience also includes a role as a Multimedia Developer at Wesleyan University, where they oversaw the development of online language learning platforms and interactive modules. Philip also served as a Freelance Web / Flash Developer from 2006 to 2009.
Earlier in their career, Philip worked as a Cardiology Department / Office Assistant at Yale School of Medicine, a Web Developer at Design Trust, and a Web Developer at Keiler & Company, where they were involved in various web development projects and oversaw PHP development and QA for e-commerce and marketing initiatives. Philip also worked as a Production Assistant at Walt Disney Feature Animation on several animated feature films.
Throughout their career, Philip has demonstrated their skills in software engineering, front-end development, UI component development, and project management.
Philip Isaacs attended Amity High School from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a High School Diploma with a focus on Math, Science, and English. Following high school, they enrolled at Emerson College from 1990 to 1994, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Publishing/Communications. In 2009, Philip pursued further education and completed a Certificate in Character Animation from Animation Mentor, from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, in September 2011, they obtained a certification in CG Character Animation specifically from Animation Mentor.
