David Taylor

David Taylor has a long and varied work experience. In 2019, they were the Director of Manufacturing at Hyperframe, where they developed the capability to manufacture 10+ products, from material specification and sourcing through high volume automation. From 2006 to 2019, they worked at Simpson Strong-Tie, where they were promoted through increasingly responsible positions focused on market positioning, business growth, product expansion, and revenue protection. In 2004, they built their own home and in 1993, they were the Director of Engineering, Technical Program Manager, and Systems Engineer at Berkeley Process Control. In 1991, they completed an 8,600 mile bicycle tour from Palo Alto, California to Quito, Ecuador.

David Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. David also holds certifications as a Class 1, 4, 5 Lift Truck Operator from Toyota Material Handling Northern California (obtained in February 2022) and as a Trifacta Certified Data Wrangler from Trifacta.
