Founder And Chief Consumer Architect at HyperJar

Mat Megens has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1999 with Ignitus Communications as a Hardware Engineer. In 2001, they joined Equallogic as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer. In 2005, they completed a summer internship with Morgan Stanley in the Fixed Income group, and received a full-time offer as a Fixed Income Associate in London after the internship. In 2006, they joined Lehman Brothers as a Structured Finance - Mortgage Trading Associate. In 2007, they moved to Morgan Stanley as a Vice President in the Securitised Products Group/Global Capital Markets, where they executed credit hedging and other activities related to supply chain finance. In 2010, Mat joined AgFe Group Ltd as a Partner, where they worked on working capital asset projects and trade receivable securitisations. That same year, they also became a Consultant - Senior Supply Chain Finance Product Specialist with the International Finance Corporation. In 2016, they founded Tractr Limited, a precursor to their current venture, HyperJar. In 2018, they joined HyperJar as Founder and Chief Consumer Architect and Founder and CEO, where they are responsible for research, design, and delivery of app functionality and behavioural science work.

Mat Megens has a background in education and certifications. Mat obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Quantitative Finance from New York University between 2004 and 2006. Prior to that, they earned an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo between 1993 and 1998. Mat also holds several certifications, including a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) obtained in April 2006, a CF30 Customer from the Financial Conduct Authority obtained in November 2007, a CF4 Partner from the Financial Conduct Authority obtained in February 2011, and a CF21 Investment Advisor from the Financial Conduct Authority obtained in November 2006.
