Charles Hackett

Director, Corporate Improvement at Hypertherm Associates

Charles Hackett has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Charles first worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Penn State University from 1987 to 1989 and then joined NASA's Langley Research Center as an Aerothermodynamics Engineer until 1992. Following this, Charles worked at Hackett Technologies as a Consultant from 1995 to 2005. In 1995, they also started working at Hypertherm, Inc., where they held several positions such as Sr. Process Engineer, Research & Development Group Leader, Director of Operations, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and ultimately became the Director of Corporate Improvement. Their tenure at Hypertherm, Inc. lasted from 1995 to the present.

Charles Hackett received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in the years 1983 to 1987. Charles then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University during the period of 1987 to 1989. Later, from 1992 to 1995, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering, also from Penn State University.
