Jim Farnsworth

Jim Farnsworth is a skilled manager and engineer with extensive experience in technical project management and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as Manager of Technical Project Management at Hypertherm Associates since September 2015, Jim develops strategic visions for new product development and leads cross-functional teams in executing NPD projects. Previous positions include Mechanical Engineering Team Leader, where Jim managed projects for a $15M waterjet cutting systems division, and Staff Engineer, focusing on innovative design and development methodologies. Prior to joining Hypertherm, Jim held roles at TSI Incorporated as a Senior Systems Engineer/Supervisor and gained foundational experience at the University of Minnesota and other institutions. Jim holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Physics from Concordia College.
