Tom Vercauteren is a Professor of Interventional Image Computing at King's College London and also holds various positions at Hypervision Surgical, UCL, and KU Leuven. Tom's research focuses on interventional imaging and translational applications, with a keen interest in using machine learning to overcome imaging device limitations. Tom has a strong background in biomedical image analysis, having obtained multiple advanced degrees in the field from prestigious institutions. Tom has also held roles in new technologies management and image computing, showcasing their expertise in the field of medical imaging technology.

Hypervision Surgical Ltd is a spin-out company formed from King's College London and was founded by a team of clinicians, medical imaging and artificial intelligence (AI) experts. Based on safe light alone, our goal is to equip clinicians with advanced computer-assisted tissue analysis for improved surgical precision and patient safety.
