Darryl Woodford

Chief Technology Officer (Founder) at Hypometer Technologies

Darryl Woodford has worked in the technology sector since 2002. In 2009, they worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the IT University of Copenhagen. From 2010 to 2015, they were a Visiting Fellow, Research Fellow and Sessional Academic/Research Fellow at the Queensland University of Technology. During this time, they supported the development of the Social Media Research Group/Digital Media Research Centre's quantitative analysis tools and lead the development of a social media analytics platform. In 2015, they founded Hypometer Technologies and served as the Chief Technology Officer. Since 2021, they have been the Chief Technology Officer at Cipher Sports Technology Group.

Darryl Woodford obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Regulating Virtual Environments: Participant Driven Approaches from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) between 2010 and 2014. Prior to that, they obtained their MSc in Media Technology and Games from IT-Universitetet i København between 2007 and 2009. Darryl also obtained their BEng in Computer Gaming and Internet Technology from University of Essex between 2002 and 2005.
