James Ervin

James Ervin has over 20 years of experience in the software engineering field. James began their career in 1998 as a Software Engineer II at MTC Technologies, where they were the primary software developer for the Visual Threat Recognition and Avoidance Trainer software system. In 2000, they moved to General Dynamics as a Software Engineer on the Common Intrusion Detection Director portion of the Automated Security Incident Measurement Intrusion Detection System. In 2002, James joined Northrop Grumman as a Software Engineer, where they wrote Eclipse RCP UI components for the Palantir and Storm 4.0 software platforms. In 2007, they worked as a Software Engineer at eBay, where they were the author of the SOA Tooling Eclipse Plugin. In 2008, they joined Advanced Micro Devices as a Software Engineer, where they worked on Eclipse RCP applications and enhanced and developed the app's data import capability. In 2009, James joined Overstock.com as a Software Engineer. In 2019, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Vrbo. Currently, James is an Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer at Hypori.

James Ervin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin between 1992 and 1997.
